Support the Work
There are several ways to support the work of TKE Beta-Pi.
The Annual Fund through the Laurus Group
Donations to the Annual Fund are used by the Alumni Association to support alumni communications and to help subsidize the big Homecoming party. If the level of giving allows it, annual fund donations eventually may be used to support membership development activities: Annual Fund Secure Donation Site (through Blackbaud).
If you would rather not use the web to donate, you can download, print out and send this file (pdf) by post: Annual Fund Donation Form
Gifts to the Annual Fund are not tax deductible.
The TKE Beta-Pi Endowment for Leadership and Scholarship, a.k.a. the Chapter Scholarship Fund, through the TKE Educational Foundation
Gifts to the Chapter Scholarship Fund through the TEF will be used to make awards to individual undergraduates for leadership and scholarship development. We are waiting for the endowment to reach $50K before making awards from it.
- Click on the TEF Donation Link: TKE Educational Foundation Donations.
- Scroll down to “Chapter Scholarship Funds”. It’s the last giving option.
- Key in an amount and click “add to cart”.
- Scroll to the top and click on “Go to checkout” on the right side of the screen.
- On the “Select Your Items” screen, choose plan and matching gift options as you wish. Then click “Pay now”.
- Key in credit card information and, at the bottom of the screen, where it asks “Towards what chapter are you making a gift?”, be sure to key “Beta-Pi” so it will go to our Chapter.
- Follow the rest of the process as if you were buying something on-line.
Gifts to the Chapter Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.
TKE Life-Loyal Teke (LLT) Program
This program has been set up by TKE National to gradually shift the burden of operational expenses from the undergraduates to the alumni. A sizeable chuck of your membership fee, however, will go to the endowment for the Beta-Pi chapter (see above.) Discounted membership is available for recent alumni.
More information on Life Loyal Teke is available at the website. To join the Life Loyal Teke program, contact TKE directly.
A part of the donations to this program are tax deductible.
The John Reagan Scholarship Endowment through the Georgia Tech Foundation
The John Reagan Scholarship, when funded through the GTF, will be awarded each year.
To contribute to this endowment, send a check to:
Georgia Tech Foundation
760 Spring Street
Suite 400
Atlanta, GA 30308.
Indicate clearly in a cover letter and on the check that it is to go to the John Reagan Scholarship Endowment. If you have questions about this, contact John Carter at the foundation.
Gifts to the John Reagan Scholarship Endowment are tax deductible and, if your company has a matching program, these donations would qualify for a matching gift.
The Special Projects Fund through the TKE Educational Foundation
Gifts to the Special Projects Fund through the TEF may be used for certain life-safety expenses related to facilities as well as creation and maintenance of the educational part of buildings.
- Click on the TEF Donation Link: TKE Educational Foundation Donations.
- Scroll down to “Chapter Housing Funds (Special Projects Fund)”.
Gifts to the Special Projects Fund are tax deductible.
The Campaign for TKE Beta-Pi
John Reagan and Wick Moorman are honorary co-chairs of the capital campaign that will fund the complete overhaul of our facilities to make them fit for the new century.
Some gifts to the campaign will be tax-deductible, depending on their use. If you are interested in making more such gifts deductible, consider getting involved with the Capitol Fraternal Caucus: http://www.fraternalcaucus.org/ and its efforts to pass the CHIA (Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act).
More information soon coming.
